Comex : What is it ?
The main market for trading metals like gold, silver, copper, and aluminum is COMEX, which offers both futures and options. The Commodity Exchange Inc. is the full name of the exchange, which is shortened to COMEX.
In 1994, COMEX and the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) combined to develop a new platform that handled metals trading.
The CME Group acquired the NYMEX in 2008, along with its COMEX division.
